Puxing Highway Bridge on Dalu Line, Shanghai
The main bridge of the Puxing Highway Bridge on the Dalu Line in Shanghai is a basket-handle tied steel arch bridge with a main span of 230 meters, making it the largest-span bridge of its type in the Shanghai region.
The main structure adopts a through-type tied arch configuration. The arch ribs have a rise of 57.982 meters, while the steel arch ribs on both sides of the bridge deck reach a structural height of 46 meters and are inclined inward at an angle of 12 degrees. A total of 27 hangers are arranged beneath each arch rib.
The steel arch ribs have a cross-sectional dimension of 3.6 × 2.5 meters, and the tie beam adopts a section size of 2.656 × 2.686 meters. Upon completion, the bridge became a prominent landmark structure, demonstrating both structural scale and engineering significance.
