Trina Solar Co., Ltd. (Dongtai) Technology Co., Ltd. Annual Output of 10 GW High-Efficiency Solar Cell Project
The project includes facilities such as the cell workshop and the power station center. The total building area of the project is approximately 200,000 ㎡. The cell workshop is 487 m long and 173.7 m wide, with a building area of about 84,500 ㎡, a total steel consumption of 4,954 tons, and a building height of 16.3 m. The main structure along grids E–M consists of steel columns and beams; the roof beams are solid-web H-section steel beams. Column bases are anchored with anchor bolts, and the steel columns are solid-web H-section steel columns. Transverse and longitudinal bracing is provided for roof bracing and inter-column bracing to form a stable steel frame system. Grids A–D consist of steel columns and beams; the roof beams are solid-web H-section steel beams. Column bases are anchored with anchor bolts, and the steel columns are box-section steel columns. Transverse bracing is provided between columns. The roof adopts 1.2 mm YXB40-185-740(B) galvanized steel decking, material Q355B. Reinforced concrete is poured on the roof, with waterproofing and thermal insulation layers applied above.
The power station center workshop is 119 m long and 90 m wide, with a building area of approximately 10,710 ㎡, a total steel consumption of 1,372 tons, and a building height of 15.1 m. The main building is a multi-storey structure. Roof beams and floor beams are solid-web H-section steel beams. Column bases are anchored with anchor bolts, and the steel columns are box-section steel columns. Portions of the structure are portal steel frames. Transverse and longitudinal bracing is provided for roof bracing and inter-column bracing to form a stable steel frame system. Portions of the floor slabs and roof adopt 1.2 mm YXB40-185-740(B) galvanized steel decking, material Q355B. Reinforced concrete is poured on the roof, with waterproofing and thermal insulation layers applied above.
Envelope Structure:
·Roof inner panel: 0.5 mm thick / aluminum-zinc coated / PE coating / Q900 profile.
·Insulation wool: 100 mm thick / 16 kg/m³ formaldehyde-free environmentally friendly glass wool, Class A, white polypropylene VR facing; fire performance: Class A.
·Roof outer panel: photovoltaic patented product “Tianneng Tile”.
·Wall inner panel: 0.5 mm thick / aluminum-zinc coated / PE coating / Q900 profile.
·Insulation wool: 75 mm thick / 16 kg/m³ formaldehyde-free environmentally friendly glass wool, Class A, white polypropylene VR facing; fire performance: Class A.
·External wall panel: 0.6 mm aluminum-zinc coated / PE coating (horizontal installation), 780 profile.
Project Challenges:
Large scale and tight schedule posed significant challenges to procurement, manufacturing, construction, and project management teams across the company. The first lifting ceremony was held on September 8. On October 20, a total of 100,000 ㎡ of primary and secondary structural installation was completed within 42 days. A total of 150,000 ㎡ of roof and wall envelope installation was completed by December 30. Under conditions of large project scale, tight schedule, and low temperatures, this was the first project of such magnitude undertaken by the company. Its smooth and successful completion was the result of joint efforts by all departments and has accumulated valuable experience for the company in undertaking similar projects in the future.
