Vossloh Fastening Systems (China) Co., Ltd. Project
Vossloh Fastening Systems (China) Co., Ltd. was established on December 28, 2006, as a joint venture formed by four parties including the German Vossloh Group and China Railway Materials Group. The company is headquartered at No. 158 Yuanfeng Road, Yushan Town, Kunshan City, Jiangsu Province. It specializes in the manufacturing and sales of high-speed railway rail fastening systems. Its products have been widely applied in major projects such as the Beijing–Shanghai High-Speed Railway and the Wuhan–Guangzhou High-Speed Railway, with a cumulative installation mileage exceeding 7,000 kilometers. The company has consistently maintained the leading market share in China’s high-speed rail fastening system market.
The main scope of this project includes rust removal of steel beams in Workshop No. 1 and the replacement and upgrading of the roof maintenance system, covering a total area of approximately 3,200 square meters.
The roof system adopted in this project is a 360° standing seam 470 metal roof system, which offers excellent wind resistance and waterproof performance. The roof is specially equipped with ridge ventilators, non-powered exhaust ventilation caps, and daylighting panels, significantly improving indoor natural lighting and ventilation conditions.
Project Challenges:
Structural components require on-site measurement and verification. Any issues related to fabrication accuracy or on-site measurement may seriously affect the installation schedule. All roof system components are fabricated in the factory, while only the removal of secondary structures and installation of new components are carried out on site. Comprehensive planning is required on the construction site, including crane travel routes, lifting zones, and component storage areas.
Rust removal and painting maintenance are required in the workshop. Due to the large amount of production equipment and the limited construction space, enclosed management must be implemented during rust removal and painting operations to prevent contamination of production line equipment.
The replacement of the roof maintenance system requires close coordination. The amount dismantled each day must be replaced on the same day, placing high demands on coordination among all construction processes.
