The Electronic Factory Project of the Intelligent Manufacturing Industrial Park of Changzhou Xingyu Automotive Lighting Systems Co., Ltd. is located south of Huanghe West Road and west of Baotashan Road, Xinbei District, Changzhou City. The project has a building footprint area of 18,274.35 square meters and a total gross floor area of 74,977 square meters. The building comprises four stories above ground, with a planned building height of 23.990 meters.
This project is a multi-story Class C Type II industrial building used for the production and processing of automotive lighting components, with a fire resistance rating of Grade II. The roof includes seven small steel-structure units, consisting of six air-conditioning plant rooms and one boiler room. Among them, Air-Conditioning Plant Room 1 and Air-Conditioning Plant Room 2 are the most representative, and both have identical structural forms and floor areas.
Air-Conditioning Plant Room 1 adopts a steel column–beam structural system, with column bases anchored by anchor bolts. The steel columns are H-shaped steel sections. Horizontal bracing is provided at the roof level, and round steel pipe tie members are used on the walls to form a stable steel frame system. The roof system consists of a single-layer metal panel with insulation wool, while the wall system adopts single-layer metal panels.
One steel frame girder in Air-Conditioning Plant Room 1 is composed of three steel beams, with an overall length of approximately 28 meters. The steel columns weigh approximately 10.5 tons, and the roof beams weigh approximately 10.99 tons. The steel structure material is Q355B steel, selected in accordance with the design requirements.
Project Challenges:
The wall panel system involves a large number of joints, which imposes high requirements on overall structural flatness. At the same time, strict control is required over the visual quality during installation as well as the flatness of the panels themselves.
