Project Name:
Expansion Project of Procter & Gamble Jiangsu Ltd. with an Annual Output of 46,000 Tons of Shampoo and Body Wash Products
This project adopts a steel frame structural system. The building has three above-ground floors, with partial mezzanine levels. The building is 36.75 meters long, 15.9 meters wide, and has a roof height of 14.5 meters. The column spacing of the plant ranges from 7 to 9 meters. Column bases adopt anchor-bolt–connected bases, with H-shaped steel columns.
The total weight of the steel structure is approximately 180 tons. The steel columns are square hollow sections, and the steel beams are hot-rolled H-shaped steel. The longest single steel column is approximately 14.5 meters in length and weighs about 3.5 tons. According to the design requirements, the steel grades used are Q355B and Q235B. Shot blasting is performed to a Sa 2.5 surface preparation grade.
Project Difficulty 1: Control of Fabrication and Installation Accuracy
Analysis:
Whether due to inadequate fabrication accuracy or errors in installation measurement, any deviation will seriously affect the installation schedule and cause certain economic losses. Therefore, control of fabrication and installation accuracy is a key focus of this project.
Project Difficulty 2: Roof Waterproofing (Must Ensure No Leakage)
Analysis:
The roof system of this plant adopts a standing seam system with 360° locked seams, which places very high requirements on construction details throughout the entire roofing system. Improper handling of details can easily result in roof leakage.
As the enclosure system of the expanded plant uses color-coated steel wall panels, the external panels are 0.5 mm thick aluminum-zinc fluorocarbon-coated Baosteel white-gray WA-1026 vertical panels, and the internal panels are 0.4 mm thick aluminum-zinc white-gray 900-type panels. This imposes very high requirements on overall wall flatness and the straightness of wall purlins. The construction process involves multiple procedures with close coordination. If any single procedure has quality issues, it will have a significant impact on the overall construction quality of the project. Therefore, high standards, strict requirements, close communication, and meticulous construction are essential.
