Georg Fischer Casting Solutions Shenyang Co., Ltd
Steel Structure Works for Phase I and Expansion Project of Georg Fischer Casting Solutions Shenyang Co., Ltd.
Phase I Project:
In Zone D of Workshop No. 1, the building has a length of 21.5 m, a width of 45 m, and a roof height of 8.5 m.
Zones F and G have a length of 54.8 m, a width of 45 m, and a ridge height of 14.51 m.
The project adopts reinforced concrete columns with steel beams. The roof system consists of steel floor decking with waterproof membrane installed on top. The wall system comprises masonry walls with external steel framing and rock wool sandwich panels.
According to different functional requirements, multiple buildings with varying spans and heights are combined. The parapet heights are 15.5 m, 11.3 m, 10 m, and 7 m respectively. The maximum span is 27.4 m. Several 50-ton overhead cranes are installed along grid lines AA–D.
Each steel frame beam consists of five steel beam segments, with a single span of approximately 27.4 m. The total weight of roof beams is over 180 tons, and the crane girders weigh approximately 100 tons. Steel materials are Q355B and Q235B, as specified by the design.
Phase I Expansion Project:
Workshop No. 2 has a length of 97.54 m, a width of 67.1 m, a height of 9.7 m, and a maximum span of 33.46 m. Steel materials are Q355B and Q235B in accordance with design requirements.
The structure consists of steel columns and beams, with roof beams made of solid-web H-section steel. Column bases are anchored with anchor bolts. Steel columns and beams adopt H-sections. Roof bracing and inter-column bracing are provided in both transverse and longitudinal directions to form a stable rigid frame system.
Main Structural Description:
The main frame uses Q355B steel, with welded H-section steel columns and beams. All steel components are shot-blasted to Sa 2.5 grade. Roof and wall purlins are formed from galvanized Q355B steel strips.
Material Yard No. 7:
The material storage yard has a length of 11 m, a width of 48 m, a cantilevered eave height of 6.55 m, and a span of 11 m. Steel materials are Q355B and Q235B as per design requirements.
The structure adopts steel columns and beams, with roof beams made of solid-web H-section steel. Column bases are anchored with anchor bolts. Steel columns include both H-section columns and box columns. Roof bracing and inter-column bracing are arranged in transverse and longitudinal directions, forming a stable steel frame system.
